Gary Oakes is one such person who has been enticed by the internet by following a good internet marketing strategy and asked what prompted such an action. Gary’s response went something like this:
“For years now I have been looking for alternative ways to make money, to make money in such a way to leverage my time v money. I was at one time taken in by a Multi Level Marketing company, and to be honest the business model sounded great. However, the reality of cold calling, approaching friends and family and holding house parties did not feel comfortable with me. Searching further, this time on the internet, I found what sounded like the best home internet business - something much more fun and achievable”.
With different forms of technology available to tap into the internet, it’s not surprising then people from all walks of life from all around the world are on the search to find alternative ways to earn money working from home. However, there is a lot of choice out there so how did Gary hit on the opportunity that sounded right for him? What course of action did he take?
“Once I read what was available, I must admit I was sceptical. After some weeks dwelling on what appeared to be a good opportunity, I applied for what was an application kit. There was a small fee, but I’m one of those people who believe nothing of any value comes for free. Once I had taken this first step I did everything possible to become clearer to what was available and because of this felt it was worth a try”.
Starting from a point of knowing nothing about internet marketing and initially being overwhelmed to what needed to be learnt, Gary is now engaged in what has been classed the best internet marketing training and as a result is learning new skills, engaging with a support community and immersing himself to do what it takes. As a result has learnt a number of internet market strategies ranging from Pay-Per-Click, content marketing and social media marketing. “Accepting it will all take time as I work a long 60 hour week, each and every day I’m learning new skills to take my business forward. This was never going to be a ‘get rich quick’ business and would put a warning to those who are looking for such opportunities. Face the facts; if there was such a way to get rich quick then wouldn’t everyone be doing it! If someone is serious about building a business at home, then be prepared for the long haul. Don’t be impatient, enjoy the journey and make it fun. As long as you do something every single day to help move your business on then there should be no reason to fail. You only fail the day you quit!”
Gary eventually took a breath. Butting in, Gary was asked how learning all these new skills marketing on the internet was going to generate a return on his investment – a return on his time and money.
“Fortunately there is a back end product to market and is different to the lotions, potions, pills and vacations that saturate the market place. It’s a unique wealth, health and wisdom product and depending on the affiliate level determines the level of commission. The online marketing skills and the product go hand in hand”.
