There is a big correlation between being committed and performing in the world of internet marketing. Here are tips to break through the performance barrier.

‘Join in the power of masterminding with the leaders and develop a leadership perspective – playing the game to win’.

Performing comes down to people – you and me. Commitments spark action. Commitments, when made with integrity, break the performance barriers in which you may be lacking at this point in time.

If you have ever considered building a home based income opportunity, whether part time or full time, how do you ensure you firstly maximise your potential and secondly how do you ensure you stay focused in order to get results. Remember, building a business takes time and commitment. Saying this, it does not mean it can’t be fun and exciting.

Having a Home business marketing online strategy is one thing, but what is the key to performance. How do you perform in your business? Let’s address this in seven areas:

1. Getting out of the stand

To start off with, you need to get out of the stand and onto the field. Yes an analogy can be made here to say to a football game. The conversations being had with those on the stands compared to that in the field are totally different.

Those people in the stands will be passing judgements, evaluating and making excuses to why something went wrong. They are talking about the game, assessing it with little at stake and little at risk to the outcome of the game.

On the field, you can imagine the conversation here. What is discussed will affect the outcome of the game. They will discus tactics, the focus required to win, skills, team work etc. They will discuss a game plan – a plan to win. They are accountable for the end result.

2. Create a new game

When you need and want to elevate performance, then you need to create a new game plan. It becomes a new game when you declare something important. Who are you holding yourself accountable to?

When others commit to the game, they are right in the field with you.

3. Make the obstacles the condition of the game.

How many times have you said ‘my client and prospects are too slow to make a decision. I could sell far more if they were faster’.

Making conditions of the game, selling in this case, an obstacle. On the football field, the team may be saying ‘why is the other team stronger?’ or ‘if only we had more time’. Push back on the obstacle terms.

Make the obstacles a condition of the game. Given the conditions in front of you, what are you going to do to win!

4. Share your myths to break through the performance barrier.

Allow others to participate in what you experience. Many have an aversion to share and this maybe from childhood.

The more you share your experiences and the more you make your commitments public, the more you will get back. Ideas shared grow and spread. Keep it simple.

So who do you share with; it is with the people that matter to you and people who you would like to win as well.

What do you see when you share; others take on performance issues with you – forming a network.

5. Find the right coaching.

Another role, the coach, is not in the stand and not playing in the field.

What does the coach really do? Well the coach directs, motivates the team – provide actions to correlate with winning the game.

Who is coaching you right now? Are you surrounding yourself with the right coaches?

6. Stop following your past in the past.

Many can’t leave the past behind. We make mistakes and errors and we file these as lessons learned so that we don’t make the mistakes again. But this also prevents us taking risks. Here is a suggestion. Empty the filing cabinet. Start a fresh. Let’s not write guidelines for the future. Let’s build a new one.

It’s not about a future designed to fix your problems; it’s about a future designed to make a difference to you and others.

7. Play the game as if your life depended on it.

Create powerful lives to live into. Experiment in changing your perspective and conversations. You can’t mess this up – it’s only a conversation. People will resist you because people resist ideas. You can give anything up that does not serve you

Now you are back in the game. There are no circumstances in business or life that you can’t handle from this perspective. It does not matter how many hurdles you jump, unfamiliar territories you cross or challenges you face, be proud in the fact you’re ready to play the game passionately, intently and fearlessly.
